Project Censored Radio: Assange Update—Plus, Book Conversation At Red Emma's
Every other month, Project Censored director Mickey Huff graciously welcomes Kevin Gosztola on Project Censored's radio show to share updates on WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the United States government's vindictive effort to extradite him.
Kevin returned to the show earlier in January to discuss the upcoming appeal hearing before the British High Court of Justice on February 20-21, an incredible ruling in the lawsuit against alleged CIA spying on Assange visitors, and a House resolution that supporters are demanding representatives co-sponsor to demand the Justice Department drop Espionage Act charges against Assange.
Following the interview, Project Censored's show included a conversation that Kevin had with Eleanor Goldfield at Red Emma's bookstore in Baltimore in August 2023. Eleanor, who is also a co-host for Project Censored's show, was kind enough to talk with me for about an hour about my book, "Guilty of Journalism: The Political Case Against Julian Assange." (Red Emma's treated me well, and if you get a chance to visit or support this independent bookstore, please do.)
Here is the episode, which was posted on January 19.
