White House Says Migrants 'Fleeing Communism'—Plus, Toxic Lead In Chicago Water
Hosts Rania Khalek and Kevin Gosztola had a limited amount of time for this week's episode. Rania was in New York to cover the UN General Assembly meeting, where a number of Latin American leaders condemned US imperialism.
Rania and Kevin talk a bit about some of the speeches and also respond to Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying the migrants being flown by Republican governors to blue cities are "fleeing communism" in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
Later in the show, Kevin, who lives in Chicago, rants against the city government for allowing toxic levels of lead in the tap water. The Guardian published a major report that implicated Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
